Center for Slovenian Studies
Each semester consists of 16 units. Four semesters (101, 102, 201, 202, 301, 302).
Each unit is meant to be taken in one week (you can take it whenever you want in that week, adjust the pace to your own work/school time).
Students can spend their time on learning the language instead of learning of how to work the computer.
Units are not bound to time or place, you can use PC or mac, tablet or smartphone. Internet connectivity is neccessary.
Tegrity lets students search and bookmark content, take notes, and collaborate with instructors and fellow classmates in order to make learning incredibly efficient.
“These classes were absolutely what I needed since I often heard the language spoken but never studied its grammar. I enjoyed expanding my vocabulary while continuing to learn how to communicate properly.”
“I would recommend professor Zibelnik’s beginning Slovenian. I looked for a program to learn Slovenian for over 10 years. I audited professor Biggins’ University of Washington class and have tried several other courses to no avail. Professor Zibelnik’s class is exactly what I’ve been looking for, pronunciation, repetition, the ability to watch the lecture over and over via the Internet and easy access to professor Zibelnik. I will certainly be enrolling in his Intermediate Slovenian class this fall.”
“Luka is an awesome teacher. His classes are comprehensive, informative and so much fun! Yes, his courses will stretch your mind but that’s good. And if you have a question, he’s quick to respond. I highly recommend him!”
“Luka’s Slovenian classes were the exact thing I needed to prepare for moving to Slovenia. You will need to set aside a little time to learn what’s presented in the classes, but the way it’s presented (with less difficult concepts first) makes the language seem easy. I was also happy to discover that Luka immediately gave us a few helpful sentences and included fun cultural insights.”
